RegMed Investors’ (RMi) pre-open: the known unknowns as the market is headed for a big sell-off

The iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology (IBB) is indicating a NEGATIVE -0.11% as is the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (XBI) is indicating a NEGATIVE -0.38%; the iShares Russell 2000 (IWM) is indicating a NEGATIVE -0.75% while the Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) is NOT indicating in Friday’s pre-open

Keeping an eye on indexes, fundamentals and many of those “other” indicators is an attempt of futility many days to prognosticate sentiment

However, the real issue is that algorithms have become unshackled and I believe contribute to conflicts in sector pricing

Their vulnerability is the “human” that could interrupt their machine learning

Pre-open indications: 4 SELLs and 2 BUYs

Out and about: Athersys (ATHX) has increased its current debt facility. Under the new agreement, ATHX has the right to sell up to $100 million of its common stock to Aspire Capital under certain conditions over a three-year period.
