I always appreciate an upside but, yesterday’s session was oversold, today’s it’s a hiccup and …

I see speculation without firmer fundamentals – hiccups are usually solved by taking a deep breath – today, I say don’t hold it!

As the NASDAQ (-0.05%) slips while the IWM (+0.03%), IBB (+0.63%), XBI (+1.13%) and XLV (+0.84%) jump

 Pre-open indications: 3 hits and 3 miss

Out and aboutWhy and what is Capricor (CAPR) hiding? The Biostage (BSTG +$0.00) chronicles …not trading again!

Thursday’s results have implications to Friday’s sector activity as a daily report may say little or a lot and it serves as insurance that all indications are being examined and evaluated!

Henry’omics:

From the pre-open’s newsletter, “…volatility is unpredictable. Headwinds include Q4 results that highlight cash positions versus development milestones and those companies who need to raise capital through dilutive and depreciating offerings. In many cases, the higher the volatility, and the riskier the equity …”

As I review the session, I have more questions than answers!

Looking forward, I don’t hear anything as news is minimal which leads me to believe that pricing will NOT get easier to come by in Q1/18 and the first half of Q2/18.

It is “the lack of news around the sector’s short and near-term catalysts which could make “our” universe - a tough investment proposition in MY view.

I also think there is more than a lot of investor FATIQUE re pricing movement …!

The advance/decline line scenario of 40 SCGT & RT covered companies:

·         The open was positive with an A/DL of 20/16 and 4 flat ;

·         The mid-day was positive with an A/DL of 25/12 and 3 flat;

·         The close was positive  with an A/DL of 21/17 and 2 flat;

Pre-open indications:

  • Applied Genetic Technologies (AGTC) closed up +$0.40 – miss;
  • bluebird bio (BLUE) closed down -$3.55 – hit;
  • Capricor (CAPR) closed up +$0.09 – miss, why and what are they hiding with a new CFO? Is this an SEC reporting issue?
  • Regenxbio (RGNX) closed up +$1.00 – hit;
  • Spark Therapeutics (ONCE) closed up +$1.37 – hit;
  • Stemline Therapeutics (STML) closed up +$0.35 – miss;

MY working trend lines:

The greatest volume to the downside:  JUNO, CYTX, VYGN, NWBO and BLUE

Upside volume was weighted to:  ADVM, XON, MDXG, ONCE and SGMO

Biggest $ downside:  BLUE (-$3.55), MESO (-$0.30), CLLS (-$0.22), ADRO (-$0.07) and CLBS (-$0.07)

Largest $ upside:  ONCE (+$1.37), RGNX (+$1.00), SGMO (+$0.80), XON (+$0.75) and ADVM (+$0.70)

Flat: BSTGD and RENE.L

Out and about:

Capricor (CAPR) why a new CFO without an announcement and an 8-K filing ... playing with the operational facts - AGAIN?

Biostage (BSTGD) This management team WIPED OUT 20 M of holder’s shares and investment!

Previous close of $2.70 didn’t trade today, not a share – three days so far?  This follows the projected $1.32 post the 1-to-20 reverse split – a $4 M in-flow just followed a $30 M investment loss incurring a $47 M deficit!

NO scientists, a CEO, CFO and 2 accountants don’t make a company who couldn’t pay their rent or communicate their issues to past “fleeced” shareholders …

I am NOT “eating” my negative declaration, my OPINION is still “COVER UP of male and female harassment and corporate MISDEEDS “by members of management team!

What did happen to (reasons) and the story “around” the IND NOT being filed and the cmo and president leaving the company? NEVER forget the storyline of the 2 broken financings before the reverse split!
